Welcome to the first step of moving your writing to a new level.  Whether you are on your first book or twenty-fifth, this program will show you why you’re having trouble finishing it or where the plot holes are in the one you’ve completed. 

Award-winning authors Mary Buckham and Dianna Love are national speakers who teamed up to create the highly successful Break Into FictionTM Template Teaching Series, which will soon be out in a book.  While developing this, they created a powerful CHARACTER-DRIVEN plotting program.  These relatively new authors know the frustration of those trying to write a sellable manuscript and the equally difficult task of continuing to do so in this competitive market.

The June 19 - 21, 2008 retreat in Richmond, Virginia includes the following:

Mary and Dianna are only offering 6 plotting retreats in 2008 on a first come first served basis.  The limited seating for these retreats allows one-on-one attention for YOUR story.  You will start plotting YOUR book in the first hour and continue to do so for two days.

What you receive for attending a Power Plotting Weekend:

  • A binder with the blank templates plus four sets of templates filled out using movie examples (115 pages).  Students are emailed in advance to watch Casablanca (classic drama with romantic elements), Finding Nemo (children’s story), Bourne Identity (mainstream suspense) and Pretty Woman (romance) so they can follow the instruction and interact with the class on how all the story elements come together to build a powerful character-driven plot. 
  • Detailed instruction and one-on-one attention during breaks
  • Access to two award-winning authors throughout the weekend for a continual Q&A
  • 5 Bonus Templates on significant story elements

Registration Fee – The cost for this two day retreat is $395 for early registration prior to May 20th, 2008 and $450 for anyone who registers between May 20th and June 13th, 2008.  *All payment must be received no later than 1 week prior to retreat (June13th, 2008).  A deposit of $100 by June 3rd will hold your seat at the early registration price of $395, but please keep in mind that we will close registration once we hit a maximum number of attendees.  Our goal is to keep the classes small enough for individual attention.

*Money back guarantee – If after the first session (approximately two hours) you don’t feel this program can help you with your book, return the materials and you’ll get your money back – no questions asked.  That’s how sure we feel about this program working.

Cancellations - If you contact us by email  to cancel prior to May 20th, 2008, you will receive a refund less $50 for processing.  Make sure to get an email reply to confirm receipt of your cancellation notice, because there are no refunds for cancellations after May 20th, 2008.
