Award-winning authors Mary Buckham and Dianna Love are national speakers who teamed up to create the highly successful Break Into FictionTM Template Teaching Series, which will soon be out in a book. While developing this, they created a powerful CHARACTER-DRIVEN plotting program. The November 14 - 15, 2008 retreat in Los Angeles, California includes the following:
Mary and Dianna are only offering 6 plotting retreats in 2008 on a first come first served basis. The limited seating for these retreats allows one-on-one attention for YOUR story. You will start plotting YOUR book in the first hour and continue to do so for two days.
What you receive for attending a Power Plotting Weekend:
- A binder with the blank templates plus four sets of templates filled out using movie examples (115 pages). Students are emailed in advance to watch Casablanca (classic drama with romantic elements), Finding Nemo (children’s story), Bourne Identity (mainstream suspense) and Pretty Woman (romance) so they can follow the instruction and interact with the class on how all the story elements come together to build a powerful character-driven plot.

Registration Fee – The cost for this two day retreat is $395 for early registration prior to October 8th, 2008 and $450 for anyone who registers between October 8th and October31st, 2008. *All payment must be received no later than 2 weeks prior to retreat (October 24th, 2008). A deposit of $100 by October 13th will hold your seat at the early registration price of $395, but please keep in mind that we will close registration once we hit a maximum number of attendees. Our goal is to keep the classes small enough for individual attention.

Cancellations - If you contact us by email to cancel prior to October 8th, 2008, you will receive a refund less $50 for processing. Make sure to get an email reply to confirm receipt of your cancellation notice, because there are no refunds for cancellations after October 8th, 2008.
